Sew Fun 4 Kids™ April Vacation Workshop
Future seamstresses & fashion designers — experience sewing at Create!® Sewing Studio and learn sewing skills in a relaxed extended time period. Workshop meets for 3 days, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, (4/16,17,18) from 9am-2:30pm. In one workshop session children (ages 7-17) receive the same amount of instruction as in 8 weeks during the regular school year session! Sew Fun 4 Kids™ April Vacation Sewing Workshop cost: $255. All Specialty Classes meet for 3 days, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, (4/16,17,18) from 3pm-5pm. Specialty Class cost: $90.

Intro to Fashion Illustration
Donna Meyer, Instructor
Join Donna Meyer, graduate of School of Fashion Design, Boston for a fun intro to fashion illustration. This class will provide you with all the tools and supplies you need to begin illustrating. All you need to do is bring yourself, and your stylish imagination!
In this hands-on class, Donna will teach the basics, from how to create the specific proportions of a fashion figure to filling out the geometry to produce a life-like fashion figure. She’ll touch on pencil sketching and basic colored pencil coloring. You will also learn the basics of drawing clothing for the fashion figure and will have the opportunity to imagine and draw one to three fashion outfits.
You’ll leave this class feeling confident and ready to start illustrating your own designs!

Intro to Hand Embroidery

Come explore the beauty and versatility of hand embroidery with expert hand embroiderer, Susanne Fuller. In this hands-on class, you will learn a variety of decorative embroidery stitches, then you will incorporate your embroidery stitching into a hand-made headband. Susanne will teach several basic stitches with variations as time allows.
Susanne Fuller learned traditional hand needlework from her mother and grandmother and is an expert instructor. This class will provide you with all the tools and supplies you need to begin embroidering. Bring yourself and your creativity and you will walk away from this class with a new hand-embroidered headband that will impress family and friends alike!
Zipper Case by Darlene Reynolds
Fun Projects with Zippers: An Intro Class
Darlene Reynolds, Instructor
Join expert zipper project innovator, Darlene Reynolds and learn to make your own unique, one- of-a-kind zipper projects! You will be provided with all the materials to make your own fabulous zipper creations. You only need to bring your imagination!
In this hands-on class, Darlene will guide you in making unique bracelets, ipod/iphone cases and/or eyeglass cases using brightly colored zippers, sequins, jewels, rhinestones, and link chains. Use a combination of sewing techniques plus special fabric and gemstone glues to make your own one-of-a-kind creations! For those without sewing skills, we will include an intro to how to use the sewing machine to get you up to speed. You will have the opportunity to make one to three zipper creations.
You will leave this class with your very own unique zipper creations, plus the knowledge to experiment with making further zipper creations on your own!
NOTE: If your child wants to take Sew Fun for Kids™ and also stay for a specialty class to make it an all-day class, the fee for supervision during the half hour lunch break from 2:30-3pm (child brings own lunch) is $7. per day or $21. for the 3 days. Please let us know if you want to do this and you can bring cash or check to pay for the lunch supervision fee.
